Flexible and Modular Lab Validation Solutions

NI systems increase engineer efficiency during lab validation and verification with scalable hardware and software built for validation workflows. The wide range of modular hardware for performance characterization, power consumption, and parametric or functional test means engineers can pick the exact test system that meets their needs. Combined with a software-centric approach for electronics validation workflows—from interactive measurements and debugging to fully automated characterization—means NI technology can enable quick and efficient validation of functionality for new product designs.

Connecting Hardware and Software with Intelligent Lab Validation Workflows

Efficiency in electronics validation requires more than just the right hardware and software in the lab. Electronics validation engineers must interact, connect, and share data throughout the entire validation process and need integrated, intelligent software tools. To begin, NI InstrumentStudio provides interactive front panels to quickly get started configuring instruments and taking measurements. From there, develop more complex functionality in NI LabVIEW or other programming languages. Finally, the same IP used in InstrumentStudio and LabVIEW can be exported to NI TestStand for fast, automated test sequencing. Complementing the software is the modular and flexible NI PXI hardware platform that adapts to the requirements of many DUT types; with the ability to include DC, RF, digital, and analog I/O, the system can be leveraged across the entire product design cycle.

Qualcomm has standardized on PXI and NI software as the core of our global RF and PMIC validation benches. This allows us to reuse a common set of equipment and measurement code across global teams—but in a way that provides flexibility to upgrade or evolve the systems as requirements change.
